Create Botanical Art with Jessie Rose Ford
Learn to draw and paint beautiful, realistic artworks inspired by nature in just 10 weeks!
Hello from Jessie!
For over a decade, I've specialised in realistic drawing and painting inspired by nature. It’s been a privilege to share my knowledge with hundreds of aspiring artists, both in person and online.
Seeing a beginner’s excitement as they create their first piece of art brings me so much joy. I hope this course will reach more people (like you!) who want to connect with nature and unleash their creativity, so you can experience that same sense of pride.
Running 1st March until 9th May
Whether you..
love botanical art but aren’t sure where to begin,
need structure and guidance to stay focused,
or you dream of painting the flowers in your garden.
This course is here to show you how, with Jessie leading you each step of the way.
It’s the perfect foundation course, opening the door to endless creative possibilities!
This course offers a blend of self-learning, accompanied by 3 support methods:
Live Co-Painting Sessions:
Join me each week on Zoom for live group painting sessions! Work on the exercises at the same time as everyone else. Or ask questions for immediate answers and live demonstrations from Jessie. Sessions times are in the FAQ below.
Professional Critique:
Accelerate your learning with personalised feedback. Submit your work via email at the end of each module to receive Jessie's friendly and encouraging feedback.
An Online Community:
Exclusive access to a vibrant online community of other like minded artists! In the online portal you can connect, share your progress, and find inspiration in the beautiful work of others. Ask additional questions or receive further feedback on your creations.
Learn to identify the sneaky thoughts that might be holding you back and discover strategies to move past them.
I share my secrets on how to prevent and fix common watercolour mistakes. Including messy edges, lost highlights, and unwanted splashes. Plus, learn how to flatten buckled paper!
Zoom Sessions will be held each:
Thursday 6pm-7pm Melbourne AEDT.
From April 6th my timezone changes to AEST.
Each Saturday before the Zoom sessions, the learning video content will be released, for you to work through at your own pace.
This allows you the option of working through the exercises before the Zoom sessions and then join the 1hr Zoom class to ask questions and receive feedback on your work.
If you haven't completed the exercises before the Zoom sessions, come to the Zoom session to work through the videos.
These Zoom sessions aren't recorded.
If you can't make the Zoom sessions, you also have the option of submitting your finished work via email at the end of each module.
For additional support, there is an online community portal where you can reach out for further support.
I truly believe that anyone can draw and paint!
All you need is a willingness to try, a clear process to follow and support you can trust.
How long will I have access to the course?
You'll have access to support - live painting sessions, email feedback and the community, for the 10 weeks.
The learning content will be available to you for 12 months, so you can go back and revisit any of it!
When will the Live Co-Painting Sessions be held?
(Melbourne, AUS timezone):
Thursdays 6-7pm
These are casual 'drop in' sessions for all students, no matter what stage of the course you're up to.
Do I have to come to submit my work via email and attend the Zoom sessions?
I encourage you to so you can get the most out of it! It is not compulsory though.
Do we work from real subjects or photographs?
You'll be working from reference photos supplied within the course.
I live overseas, can I join?
Yes! The self-paced learning and flexible feedback options allow for everyone to learn from wherever you are.
